Dodmoor House Wedding

Updated: Jan 19, 2021

... So on the 21st June 2019 I had the pleasure of assisting not just a bride but my friend and work colleague Helen Silver-Ross and her bridal entourage with their wedding hairstyles. When I say pleasure, it really was...

Helen and I have been working together for the past 18 months as we are a hair and make-up duo who covers Northampton and also travel across the UK to assist our lovely brides with their bridal hairstyles and wedding makeup on their wedding day and now it was her turn to look and feel special!

It was an early start at the De Vere Staverton Hotel in Daventry, 6am in fact..! I had already met one of Helen’s bridesmaid Beth, as she had booked a Pre-wedding hair trial a few weeks before. All the ladies had beautiful hair to work with; I created a soft #boho type curl for each bridesmaid along with effortless fun textured twists for detail. This style really complimented their bubbly personalities - the morning really was so enjoyable so much so that the time whizzed by...

It was also lovely to meet and work with MUA’s Claudia Salaris @claudiasalarismakeup who made Helen look devine and Sophie Duffy @sophieduffymakeup who worked her magic on all five bridesmaids.

11am - it was time to drive Helen to her wedding venue @dodmoor-House to finish dressing out her hair. What a cute and romantic venue situated in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside - #justperfect

The morning preparations continued along with more singing, dancing and laughter until it was time for Helen to slip into her wedding gown.

1:30pm and Helen was ready to say 'I Do"

7pm - I arrived back at Dodmoor House as a guest and to add a few touch ups to Helen’s hairstyle - she still looked amazing!!!

Thank you Helen for inviting me to be apart of your special day - wishing you and Graham all the best for the future.

Thank You to Natalie J Weddings for the wonderful photography.
